They simply cannot afford to change their body and then not meet the perfect female model body profile. Some female models have said that they survive on cigarettes and coffee and I believe them. Most female models are tall and very thin. The modeling industry dictates the look of a female model and every model must conform.

Traveling is one plus for female models. They do get to travel a lot and to exotic places but they do not get to play much at these locations. At the same time female models have to pose in skimpy outfits and sometimes in cool weather or cold water. They have to pose for sometimes hours before they’re done. Modeling is not as easy as it appears. Female modeling is a 24/7 job. Models always have to worry about what they eat and what they do. They can’t do anything that would damage their appearance.

Young inexperienced female models will take every job that comes their way so they are extremely busy. As they become more well known or even famous, then female models can be a little selective on the modeling jobs they accept. Most female models have agents that market them to companies. These agents get a percentage of the models income for marketing them. Modeling agents will aggressively market their clients and get them as much work as they can do, sometimes too much. New female models have to take every modeling job that their agents have otherwise they may not get any if they do not please their agents.

Female models work very hard for what money they make and most never make it big. A top model can earn $6 or $7 million per year but most earn less than $100,000.
