Perhaps one of the most beautiful African American females in the world is Alicia Keys. She is a Grammy award winning, extremely talented musician that has been able to rake in millions of dollars by singing wonderful songs about love, life, and other topics. Her sweet rhythmic voice has embraced her countess fans and also a spot on the 2008 Super Bowl halftime show.

Alicia Keys was born on January 25, 1980 and has risen to become an American R and B sensation. Her amazing voice is only one of her many talents that she possesses. She is also a songwriter, pianist, record producer, actress, music video director, philanthropist, and an author. Her sensational talents has earned her nine Grammys, eleven Billboard Music Awards, and three American Music Awards. Alicia has been driven to succeed since an early age and has blossomed into an American icon.

Alicia Keys was first spotted way back on “The Cosby Show” during an episode where she played Rudy Huxtable´s sleepover playmate. At the tender age of seventeen, Alicia started playing the piano and became so enthralled with music that she attended the prestigious Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan. She graduated as valedictorian when she was only sixteen. Jermain Dupri signed her to a demo deal with his So So Def label, which is distributed by Columbia Records. However, it wasn´t until she signed with Arista Records, which is now J records, that she first saw great success. She released her debut album “Songs In A Minor” which has gone platinum many times over. This album sold over fifty thousand copies the first day it was released. The album later gave Alicia five Grammy awards in 2002, including “Best New Artist” and “Song of the Year” for her hit “Fallin.”

Alicia has since released three more platinum albums that have made her a true legend in the music business. One might think that Alicia would let all this success, fame, and money go to her head. The case is the exact opposite. She is a real philanthropist and child advocate. Alicia is one of the leading spokeswomen for the fight against AIDS in Africa. She is apart of the non profit group that provides medical care to AIDS victims and children in several different regions of Africa. Wit such a big heart and so much money and success, Alicia Keys is a true goddess walking the Earth.
