Since becoming the fourth season winner of the popular television show American Idol, Carrie Underwood’s career has been on a roll. Born on March 10, 1983, Carrie is one of the youngest stars of her caliber. But despite her young age, she has moved from unknown to one of the most popular musical personalities in the world.

Carrie Underwood’s debut album, Some Hearts, was released in November of 2005. It is safe to say that this country album was one of the best of all time. Huge first week sales moved “Some Hearts” straight to number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. In that first week alone the album sold more than 315,000 copies. This album has become the fast selling debut country album since SoundScan began tracking these numbers in 1991. “Some Hearts” has gone 6x Platinum (6 million copies) and believe it or not, the album is still selling strong

In November of 2006, Carrie Underwood won the American Music Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. One month later, Carrie took home five awards at the Billboard Music Awards. These awards included: Album of the Year, Female Country Artist of the Year, Top 200 Female Artist of the Year, Country Album of the Year, and New Country Artist. As you can see, it did not take Carrie very long to win over the hearts of media and fans from all over the world.

Carrie Underwood’s second album is set to be released in October of 2007, and will be known as Carnival Ride.

In addition to a hot music career, Carrie Underwood has also been connected romantically to a number of different people. Most commonly, Carrie is thought to be dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. But just like anything in the world of celebrities, there is no confirming or denying this. With that being said, Romo did accompany Carrie to the Academy of Country Music Awards in May of 2007.

It is safe to say that Carrie Underwood is on her way to an amazing career that is sure to be combined with millions of dollars in earnings.
