There are countless professional drivers all across the world that have been competing for several years. Most of these drivers are men because the sport is a male dominant activity. However, when Danica Patrick hit the scene, she turned the whole industry upside down. Danica Patrick is a part of the Indy Car series and is arguably the most popular driver of the sport. Not only is she one of the most popular and beloved Indy drivers, she is also one of the top known drivers of any series. With her amazing looks and above average driving skills, Danica has been able to garner the respect of her fans and peers. Danica recently switched driving sponsors from Letterman Racing to Andretti hoping to give herself better results than she was getting. She was still among the top ten Indy drivers last year even without winning one race. She did get second a couple times and is a consistent top five finisher. Andretti Racing should allow her a better chance to move up these ranks and win a couple races including the illusive Indy 500. Danica is currently sponsored by Peak AntiFreeze, Mr. Clean, Tissot watches, and Hostess. With number one finishes in her site, it looks as though she will earn even more sponsorship next season. With her race winnings and endorsement deals Danica was able to accumulate five million dollars last year.

Danica Patrick is married Paul Edward Hospenthal who worked as her physical therapist before they wed. Danica was raised in a non religious home when she grew up but after she married her husband, she converted to Roman Catholic faith after seeing the movie “The Passion of The Christ.” With good morals intact from a strong religious belief, Danica is considered a competitive yet nice girl next door type.

For two years, Danica was the face of Secret deodorant until 2007 rolled around and she was replaced by R and B sensation Rihanna. During that period of time, Danica was also on the cover of FHM, Travelgirl magazine, and was asked by Hugh Hefner himself to pose in Playboy. OF course she turned down his request but she was flattered nonetheless. Danica Patrick is a sex icon and an incredible driver. Look out for 2008 when she wins her first race and earns even more money then last year.
