Kobe Bryant Has Recovered Very Well Since His Rape Case

Kobe Bryant has been commonly compared to Michael Jordan for his incredible basketball talent. Not only has Kobe garnered multiple championship rings, just like MJ, but he has also won scoring titles and a NBA most valuable award. Another way many people compare Kobe Bryant to the greatest basketball player of all time, is by how much money they make. Kobe Bryant is today´s version of Michael Jordan not just on the basketball court but outside of that as well.

Kobe Bryant is signed onto a six year seventy one million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Lakers and nets about thirty one million dollars a year including endorsements. Kobe´s reputation was strongly damaged after a nineteen year old girl claimed that he had sexually assaulted her in 2003. Kobe not only lost all of his endorsement deals at the time, he also lost a huge portion of his fans. However, since the unfortunate incident where all the charges were dropped, Kobe has rebounded very nicely and now has multiple endorsement deals again, most notably with Nike. While Kobe seems to have regained his reputation as a tremendous basketball player and person, he has been raking in the dollar bills as well.

Kobe Bryant makes enough money every year to be able to buy virtually anything he wants. After he was accused of raping the nineteen year old girl, he bought his wife Vanessa a four million dollar diamond ring as an apology. She graciously accepted. In addition to buying this ring for his wife, Kobe also bought a thirteen point five million dollar home for the two to live in. Kobe´s home is in a gated community in Orange County and ranks as one of the most expensive houses ever bought in that area. The nine point five acre property Kobe bought includes a sixteen thousand square foot main house and a two thousand square foot guest house. The main house includes ten bedrooms, thirteen and a half bathrooms, a theater, a game room, and a billiard room.

Kobe Bryant is quite possibly the best basketball player in the NBA today. He is currently in the second year of his seventy one million dollar contract. In addition to his contract, his endorsement deals pay him multiple millions every year as well. With all the money Kobe makes, he can afford to give his wife a a few more diamond rings.
